ACT Drug Action Week 2010

Drug Action Week 2010 will be held from 20 – 26 June 2010, with the theme “Looking After YOUR Mind!”

The ACT AOD Sector Project coordinates Drug Action Week in the ACT.

About Drug Action Week

Drug Action Week is a week of activities held nationally to raise awareness about alcohol and other drugs (AOD) issues in Australia and is an initiative of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA). ACT Drug Action Week Planning Group

The ACT AOD Sector Project facilitates a Drug Action Week Planning Group to bring key stakeholders together to plan activities for Drug Action Week. The group is open and meetings are held in the months leading up to Drug Action Week. The meeting schedule for the Drug Action Week Planning Group is as follows:

• Thursday 1 April, 2 - 3 pm, 46 Clianthus St. O’Connor ACT
• Thursday 6 May, 2 - 3 pm, 46 Clianthus St. O’Connor ACT
• Thursday 3 June, 2 - 3 pm, 46 Clianthus St. O’Connor ACT

If you are not able to attend the meetings, you can still participate in the Group through being signed up to the mailing list, informing the group of planned activities to go on the ACT Drug Action Week Calendar of Events and raising items for discussion. Drug Action Week 2010 Calendar of Events and Activities in the ACT

Each year a calendar with information on the events and activities happening during Drug Action Week in the ACT, is produced through the ACT Drug Action Week Planning Group.

ACT Drug Action Week 2010 Launch

The ACT AOD Sector Project in partnership with the ACT Drug Action Week Planning Group will be hosting an ACT launch for DAW 2010. The Launch will be held at the Legislative Assembly on 18 June 2010. ACT Alcohol and Other Drug Services will have service information stalls at the Launch.

Third Annual ACT AOD Sector Conference

The ACT AOD Sector Project, in collaboration with the ACT AOD sector and the ACT Drug Action Week Planning Group will be hosting the Third Annual ACT AOD Sector Conference - All things Being Equal: Burdens of Harm.
