Self or worker referral, with the young persons involvement. Referrals are also accepted from the general community.

Intake & Assessment:

Assessment may be conducted over the phone or in person. The service will need to be informed of any bail conditions or Care and Protection issues.

   

Program/s:

Provides up to 14 days of residential support for young people experiencing withdrawal. Young people are provided with a single room. Social and living skills, sport and recreation, vocational education, alcohol and other drug and safe behaviours information and education are available.

Alcohol and Other Drug Workers and Counsellors.

   

Families / Carers:

Family and support people are not able to visit, however, young people are able to make phone calls (provided they have a phone card). Family and support people can access the Family and Carer's Support Group.

Community Outreach & Outclient Program (CO-OP), Ted Noffs Foundation


Supports young people aged 12 – 18 years who are experiencing alcohol and other drug issues in the community, and who do not want or need residential rehabilitation services.

Program/s:

Supports young people who are experiencing alcohol and other drug issues in the community and who do not want or need residential rehabilitation services. Provides a semi-structure day program on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am – 3pm that offers information and education on substance use, assistance with schooling, cooking classes, auto mechanics, P Plate driving lessons, grooming and self esteem classes and referrals.

Also provides one-on-one outreach or outreach to schools and other services.

Provides up to 3 months of residential rehabilitation. Young people will have there own room. Employment support, training, relationship building, mood management, personal growth and development, relapse prevention skills, life skills, group work and information are available.

Post program outreach is available through the Community Outclient and Outpatient Program.

   

Cost:

$100 a week if the young person receives a centrelink allowance.
